Question 1

How do I create a seller account?

Accepted Answer

Sign up with your email (or your Google account), complete your profile (bio, games you work on, portfolio if you have one), then publish your first listing. No payment step is required to publish.

Question 2

Do I have to pay to publish a listing?

Accepted Answer

No. Publishing a listing is free and requires no bank details. You only connect your payment account when you accept an order — that is, when you're about to receive money.

Question 3

Why do I need to connect a Stripe account?

Accepted Answer

Stripe is our secure payment partner: it lets you receive money from your orders directly to your bank account, safely, without Genoplace ever having access to your banking details. Connecting takes a few minutes, at the moment you accept your first order.

Question 4

When do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

The buyer's money is held securely as soon as they order. It's paid out to you once the buyer approves the delivery (or automatically after a delay if no dispute is raised).

Question 5

Which countries can I sell from?

Accepted Answer

Genoplace is open to sellers worldwide. Connecting your payment account, however, depends on the countries covered by our payment partner — if your country isn't supported yet, contact us, we're actively working on expanding coverage.

Question 6

Can I decline an order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can decline an order at any time before accepting it. The buyer is then fully refunded.

Question 7

Who sets the price of my services?

Accepted Answer

You do, entirely. You set your own rates freely for every listing you publish.

Question 8

Does Genoplace take a commission?

Accepted Answer

Yes: 5% on the buyer's side (included in the service fee shown at checkout) and 15% on the seller's side, deducted from the amount received. At launch, the first 3 months are 0% commission for sellers. These rates may evolve over time, as Genoplace is a young platform that listens to its community — any change will be announced in advance.

Question 9

How do I contact a buyer or answer a question?

Accepted Answer

All communication happens through the platform's built-in messaging, directly on the order or listing page.

Question 10

Which payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

Credit/debit card, via our secure payment partner Stripe.

Question 11

Is my payment secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your money is held securely by our payment partner (Stripe) as soon as you order, and is only released to the seller once you've approved the delivery. Genoplace never has access to your banking details.

Question 12

What happens if I'm not happy with the delivery?

Accepted Answer

You can request a revision from the seller directly via messaging, or open a dispute if no agreement is reached. Our team then steps in to arbitrate.

Question 13

What are the delivery times?

Accepted Answer

Each listing shows its own delivery time, set by the seller, visible before you order.

Question 14

Can I cancel an order?

Accepted Answer

As long as the seller hasn't accepted your order, you can cancel it and be fully refunded. Once the order is accepted, contact the seller or our support team.

Question 15

How do I pick the right seller?

Accepted Answer

Check their profile, reviews and past work examples, and feel free to ask them questions via messaging before ordering.
